A magnetic front piece sits on the outside of your earlobe and a slim magnetic stem sits behind it. The two magnets pull together through the lobe and hold the earring in place.

They hold during normal daily wear. Like any earring, they can come off if they are pulled or knocked, and we do not recommend sleeping in them. The reviews on this page include buyers who had problems as well as buyers who did not.

The number is the width of the front piece. 8mm is closer to a standard stud and shows more. 6mm is smaller and subtler. Both sizes use the same magnetic stem.

Nothing goes through your ear. The earring is held by magnets on both sides of the lobe, so there is some pressure. If an earring ever feels uncomfortable, take it off.

1 pair of SnapMags (6mm or 8mm), 2 matched-polarity magnetic stems and a micro pouch. The stems are what attach the earrings to your ear. If you lose one, the 4-piece Replacement Stem Kit is sold separately, and the 2-pair package includes a free kit.
